A Look Into My Classroom at AHS!
My classroom at Allendale High School is composed of tables that seat four students at each table, lots of areas that can be used for notes, and each student has their own laptop computer that they are using frequently in the classroom. In AHS we use a flipped classroom model. Flipped classrooms allow students to watch the lectures at home and then do the problems in class where they can have teacher support. Students took to this method of instruction quickly and have shown a lot of enthusiasm towards this style of learning.
Above is a picture of my classroom at AHS. Students are all seated in tables with a variety of different resources including whiteboards, outlets for their personal computers, and calculators readily available to them. Along the walls there are many posters encouraging students to do their best and assisting them with various concepts we are currently covering.
