Below are a couple professional organizations I am apart of related to mathematics. Feel free to peruse the sites!
Teachers of Tomorrow
I served on the executive board of Teachers of Tomorrow for two years serving once as the Professional Relations board member and once as the Financial Officer. Each position helped me become more successful with leadership and gain great teaching strategies. Being on the board, I assisted the organization with various seminars including ones with fellow teachers, the College of Education at Grand Valley State University, and volunteer opportunities such as with the military.

Pi Mu Epsilon
Pi Mu Epsilon is the premier national mathematics honor society. My sophomore year I was asked to join because of my high achieving grades in mathematics through college. I accepted and have been a proud member since. The goal of Pi Mu Epsilon is to "recognize and promote excellence in mathematics, both within their society and with the public." I hope my membership will help me to continue my growth in mathematics.

NCTM Member
I have been a member of NCTM for the past three years and have gained lots of knowledge from reading articles, updates about the council, and by keeping up to date with the changing standards. I feel there is always room for educational improvement, especially for teachers and love being able to improve my teaching abilities. NCTM is a great resource for these advancements. The website has helpful journals, lessons, activities, conferences teachers can attend, and resources to help make their members effective teachers of mathematics. I plan to continue my membership with NCTM for many years to come for I it will continue to assist me in becoming even more knowledgeable in teaching mathematics.
